Addiction is a disease that changes the brain.

Watch below to learn how!

When addiction takes hold, the brain is rewired to function as if drugs and/or alcohol are life-or-death essentials for survival. It’s a chronic disease like cancer, diabetes and arthritis. And just like other chronic diseases, addiction can be treated with evidence-based medical care. Addiction physically changes the brain, but the brain can heal with medication, counseling, and ongoing support.

Care Access PrEP and HRT

Care Access for PrEP and HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy)

Developed by Valor and Full Circle Health (formerly FMRI)

Valor and Full Circle Health (formerly FMRI) have developed a novel consultation model to promote access to PrEP (HIV Prevention) and HRT by supporting a patient's Primary Care Provider in co-managing the patient. PCPs are the major source for patients in need of these life-saving treatments, but 70% of providers lack the clinical training to manage them with confidence.

In this model:

  • Services are billable to your site
  • Family medicine attending physicians work with your providers to treat patients
  • Services for the patient are also a chance for your providers to develop additional skills to provide more inclusive and affirming care
  • Patients stay your patients and don't have to travel hundreds of miles for care

To join this consultation model, or to learn more about it, please contact Rachel Blanton: [email protected]
