Parental ACEs Resources

Thank you to the Cambia Health Foundation!

Cornerstone was awarded a $50,000 grant from the Cambia Health Foundation aimed at “investing in whole person care models focused on empowering families to prevent and intervene with Adverse Childhood Experiences.”

C-WHO took on the Parental PACEs initiative from the Idaho Children’s Trust Fund who originally developed training with Dr. Robert Gillespie who is a pediatrician at the Children’s Clinic in Portland, Oregon. After training the initial cohort of providers, ICTF experienced challenges in gaining more widespread engagement by providers, clinics, and health systems across the State of Idaho. Due to C-WHO’s experience and track record with rural healthcare providers throughout Idaho, a partnership was formed to carry the work forward. Thus far we have been able to develop additional training materials, integrate existing materials into our online learning library, formalize/charter the Parental PACEs Learning Collaborative Advisory comprised of healthcare providers, content experts, and state agency representatives. This grant award will go a long ways in being able to provide resources to this important are of work and continue to educate and train providers across the state. Thank you Cambia Health Foundation!
